Chris and Chelsea were married at the Marina within the Shadowlawn neighborhood of Hampton, Virginia.
It was a beautiful day on the water and the taco bar and red velvet cupcakes were nothing short of amazing.
The ceremony happened on top of a three story balcony attached to the neighborhood’s community center. All of their guests piled onto the second floor and lovingly gazed up toward the sweet couple.
At the conclusion of their marriage ceremony, Chris and Chelsea revealed a huge surprise to everyone… they we’re pregnant and planned an awesome gender reveal for all of their family and closest friends to take part in.
A huge box was presented, and Chris and Chelsea dug into the box and eagerly ripped it open, then pink balloons came pouring out! It was a girl!!!
Everyone was excited, jumping and up and down, screaming with joy! A few guests even mentioned that they felt the deck swaying and should probably get out of there, lol.
We all made it out of the ceremony just fine and headed into the reception.
Honestly, I love a wedding that’s chill, relaxed, and all about the couple – and that was the exact tone the entire night. Laughter echoing throughout the rooms, the guys chilling by the bar sharing stories and congratulating Chris, and the family enjoying each other while the ladies swooned over Chelsea’s pregnant glow.
Sometimes couples (or parents) get so stuck on perfection that they forget to cherish the day they worked so hard on. So what if there’s a few hiccups here and there – at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter because your goal was to marry your best friend – not to become an event planner (well, in most cases)!
